Bioflex Jewelry

Did you know that bioflex jewelry can be autoclaved? That means that you can pierce with bioflex. Bioflex jewelry is available in nose screws, retainers, barbells, navel barbells and more. But - bioflex is not always the first choice to make. Since it is flexible, it is not a good idea to use bioflex jewelry in an area that puts undo strain against the jewelry and skin. An example of this would be an ear scaffold piercing - many times it causes the bioflex barbell jewelry to bend which can irritate the skin and prolong the healing time. It may be best to start with a stainless steel barbell and once the piercing has completely healed, switch it to a piece of bioflex. In some cases, bioflex may not be the solution at all, depending on the amount of strain placed on the jewelry due to the fact that it is flexible.
